Solomon Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking applicants for a licensed veterinary technician to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is good at communitating, organization, and multitasking, and who is ready to work in a fast paced environment.   This position is Monday-Friday 7:45 AM-5:00 PM plus rotating Saturdays 7:45 AM-12:00 PM.  

• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine, surgery and other tasks as needed.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs of the patient during surgery
• Perform in-hospital laboratory testing and prepare specimens for outside laboratories. 
• Obtain radiographs
• Apply knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
• Perform animal catheterization.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy and professionalism in all interactions with clients: exercise compassion and care in all interactions with patients.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) degree
• Proficiency in radiology techniques and equipment operation
• Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
• Experience in bovine, equine, and small ruminant care
• Ability to handle labratory procedures effectively 
• Skilled in animal catheterization techniques 
• Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices 

Solomon Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinary assistant to join our growing team. This position is Monday-Friday 7:45am-5:00pm plus rotating Saturdays 7:45am-12:00pm 

• Assist in all daily duties for clinic care
• Clean and straighten exam rooms, treatment and lab areas. 
• Restock exam rooms with supplies.
• Exhibit strong treamwork, including working to achieve team goals.
• Being capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs with reasonable accommodations
• Able to perform basic animal handling and restraint
• Willing to work with bovine, equine, and small animal ruminents. 
• Assist in cleaning cages 

Solomon Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking applicants for a cattle handler. This position exists to provide quality animal care to patients and assist in day-to-day operations of the clinic. This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM plus rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM-12:00 PM). 

Solomon Valley Veterinary Hospital is a busy cow-calf practice. EIN or SSN is required. Salary with retirement match is provided. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM and 8:00AM-12:00PM one Saturday per month.
